Damn it Tigers. You’re killing me, you’re killing me! It is official, the Tigers are in a slump. We need a pitcher, not a belly itcher. Whatever the hell that means. The other day it was 6 runs and today it was 5. You can’t expect the offense to come back in games after they score that many runs and pitching blows it. Looks like the Tigers lead in the AL Central is down to 4 1/2.
Time flies and I have been so damn busy. I got the good ol’ class together in less than a week (thank you Noni!). We’re already in the second week of school and just yesterday we had Back to School Night. Can you believe that? We’re in week two already! I have no complaints at all. This year’s batch is good (Of course they don’t compare with my first group! I miss those kiddies!). Oh yeah, it finally feels good to have health/dental/death insurance. It’s about damn time.
I’m really diggin’ the new Maná album Amar es Combatir. It’s really mellow. Just right to kick back with a chela after a long day at work. I’m definitely going to be playing it non stop for the next few weeks.

Damn, the Tigers have lost 4 in a row, moving from one classroom to another sucks big time and to top it all off it’s Saturday and I’m still working on an essay that is due in two hours. So technically the 80’s title that I used today makes no sense ’cause I’m working on the weekend.
Classic Dave Chappelle Black Bush:
“men barbecuing…I like you Dog…I like you too dog…lets get married man…”
After reading this article I have decided that one of the science projects we will do this year in 5th grade is to harvest earthworms. Yep, that is correct. After reading the article I realized how earthworms can have a positive impact on the environment. Worms can eat up food waste (which every school cafeteria has plenty of)…the waste that earthworms produce is a rich fertilizer, which we can use to help grow our own plants (maybe even create our own garden). Last but not least, by earthworms consuming food waste there is no foul odor which tends to be the norm just a few feet from the school cafeteria. I wonder if this will work though.
I hate indoor baseball. I detest it. I’m less inclined to watch baseball on TV when it is inside some dump like the Metrodome with those football season seats hanging off the wall or Tropicana field which has the feel of a mall instead of a Major League stadium. I can’t take it. I’ve had to deal with back to back Tigers’ series against teams that play inside. Look, if you can’t play baseball outdoors because it’s too hot, too humid or too cold then that city doesn’t need or deserve a team.
Even though I was still an escuincle during the 80’s, the music still is a part of me. I never bought a record or a cassette. It was all about recording your favorite tracks off the radio. You had to become very efficient at pausing the cassette recorder at just the right time. The last thing you wanted was to record some loud blabbering DJ messing with the ending of a song
